Varanne Brothers in Popstar Video Clip "OSLO"
Video clip of French band "OSLO" during the show called POPSTAR.
The clip was edited by old friend Julien Bachelet who is a pioneer of FMX movies like "True Tactics".
So, Julien called brothers Jesse and Danny to take a ride for the POPSTAR show.
Not really a vacation day. Wake up at O5 in the morning to drive in the Paris jam. We arrived in time and started to ride for the TV crew. From 09 to 09 in the evening, and then set down the "Globe de la Mort" We had to ride sessions of 4 minutes non stop each times, and this at least 50 times.
But waooo, what a result. A superb clip, the magic of cinema has a price, that none can see on the screen. The illusions has to be created for real. Thank you Popstar, thanks Julien.

The Globe of Death World record
The history of world records in Globes of death began in early 20's with Speedy babes (USA) rode 1002 revolutions (Loopings) in one session.
Then, Bela Tabak and the riders of the thunderdome in 1999, established the world record of number of riders at the same time.
It was: 5 riders. In a Globe of Death of 4 metres 40 (13.9 feet), with one girl in the center.
In May 2011, your favorite daredevils, "Infernal Varanne", broked the world record with 6 riders in a 4 metres 25 (12.9 feet) Globe of death. And the girl in the center off course.
So the world record is now Infernal !

Danny Varanne VS Henny Kroeze- Wall of Death

I forgot my cell phone 20 hours and when I opened it, I found at least 20 messages from Henny: '' Danny, call me urgent !!!'' I called Henny and told me that his team mate Jake Messham had a sad crash, and was at hospital. So just the time to jump in a plane, and I came in Germany to help my friend. But after 15 years not riding seriously in the Wall of death, I was asking to myself: "" What shit am I still able to do??'' But it went well, not safe and comfortable like before, but, crowd was happy. So see you next Henny!!
J'avais oublier mon telephone portable pandant une vingtaine d'heures, et quand le retrouve pas moins de 20 messages d'Henny Kroeze s'affiche. " Danny, appel moi d'urgence'' ok, j'appel Henny qui m'explique que son rider Jake Mesham etait a l'hopital a cause d'une salle chute dans le mur.
Le temps d'apeler Air france, et me voila dans un avion pour l'allemagne.
Mais apres 15 a n'avoir pas fait de mur de la mort serieusement, je me demandait bien ce que j'alait pouvoir faire sur le mur de la mort. Et bien ca a ete nikel! Pas aussi bien qu'avant mais quand meme le public etait content. Alors, a la prochaine Henny!!

The news of the team
Only Globe of death riders on this pic!!This was last year in England, we are all here:The Brazilian Division and the Los angeles Division. And me.
News of the Brazilians:
Marcio and Junior are now in Brazil getting some rest before the shows of this winter in Europe.
Hugo is in Mexico doing some shows, and Guidale is learning to drive aircraft, as he soon want to finish the Globe of death job.
News of the Los angeles Division:
You know that ariel and Jhonny got a severe crash in the globe 3 month ago. Jhonny got only one month rest as he only had an arm broken, and a small coma of three hours. But the case of Ariel was more complicate as his leg was broken in three sections. One centimeter of bone was missing, so the doctors had to place him some iron into the leg. Last week Ariel got back in the Globe, and he is back with the four riders and the globe splitted!! We can imagine what was going in his head. Good luck to you man. This is the Infernal Varanne way of life!

REPORT: The Netherland trip ( English text& Texte Francais)
On the road again to the Black Cross. The bikes of our Globe of death roared in the craziest festival of the world. A pure European division show with Amando Nock and Patrick, Teddy Nico and myself. We had a lot of mechanical problems with our Chinese bikes, but as I bring two extra bikes, we did the shows with 4 bikes as the festival wanted. We where glad to see Henny Kroeze again and his Wall of death. The man is more crazy than ever.
He just comes back from a bad crash with his Indian Motorcycle. The throttle blocked in full open position, he had no alternative, he hit the safety wire on the top of the wall, and crashed down, very hardly. His front arm destroyed, and has been literaly scalped. He was close to death. But Henny is here now. Respect man.
The other great moment is the FMX show by Chaos FMX. William Van Den Putte, Norman Veerbeek, and Matt Buyten where the men. And they give an exelent freestyle MX show. No joke, just three riders, but all fliped corectly, and gave the best of themselves. Ok, see you soon and dont't forget: Support Your Local division!

De retour sur la route, ca nous manquai un peu.
Pour rien au monde,nous aurions loupé notre festival préféré. Un show qui à réuni quatre des membres de la division Européene. Amndo et Patrick Nock, Teddy Nico et moi meme. Les problemes mécanique de nos Chinoise nous ont un peu gaché la vie au début, mais j'avai prévu le coup j'ai emené deux motos de secour, donc pas de problemes pour assuré le show a quatres motos, come le voulais le festival.Nous avon eu le plaisir de retrouver notre ami Henny Kroeze et son Mur de la mort. Je coix qu'il est de plus en plus fou. Il sort d'une chute assé grave, alors qu'il roulait sur le mur de la mort, l'acelérateur est résté bloqué a fond. Il n'a pas eu d'autres choix que de se jeté sur cable de sécurité en hau du mur...
Fracture, muscle du bras araché et il a été scalpé par le cable...D'apré les coupures de presse il etait considéré come mort par les ambulanciers. Respet Henny!
L'autre moment fort c'est la demo FMX par le team Chaos FMX. Les riders etait: William Van Den Putte, Norman Veerbeek et Le riacain Matt Buyten. Les trois hommes ont assuré come il le falait. Une super demo avec un festival de variations de flips. Pas comun pour une simple demo. Ils on doner le meilleurs d'eux meme.Voila, on se retrouve pour un prochain report.
