Durring our trip in California, the Infernal varanne team visited THE SHOP in Ventura, California. Couple of miles from Los Angeles.  The shop, is a kind of free museum, inside they have one of the very few Camel back Indian, a Thor, and about ten other prestigious motorcycles.
The team is kool to chat with you about bikes or parts.  It's a place to visit!

Donald Ganslmeier, his new ride for 2014

Cool pics from MOTODROM's garage. The new 1926 scout is being painted in green. Not common color for a wall of death bike. Nor for an Indian at all ! Beautiful.

Found on justacarguy.blogspot.com this marvel owned by police department of LAPAZ.
The policemen of this lady could had chase a bad boy Wall of death rider, on this 1926 or 27, Scout.
What happened then?? If the cop had catch the Scout rider, they probably went to drink a beer together.

101 Scout from KITTY MATHIEU

Kitty Mathieu the red haired woman from Germany was riding this 101. A rad look my friends.
This one was used on rollers, I met personally Kitty couple of times.
Some of her "IM BANNE DER MOTOREN" parts are in our family now.
Kitty is a real lengend in Munich, many people knows her from her riding skills. More popular than
Pit's Todeswand. The complete wall was bought by my friend Martin Blume. He donate the complete wall to the MUNCHENER MUSEUM, where this motorcycle is now.
So if you want to see the wall and the bike, just get to Munich.
The reste, the tales and legends, are in the words of some people. Find them!!

La vonnie Pelaquin, Indian Scout

Just one of the vintage Indian motocycles working for a living  at the Thill Arena.
Source: http://americanwallofdeath.blogspot.fr/

It might be the Indian from La vonnie Pelaquin. A beautifull woman on wheels. Read text from Samantha Morgan about La vonnie.

Vonnie came from a circus family.. and rode billed as "La Vonnie". She was 4'  10" and 90 somethin' lbs soakin' wet! She could barely touch the ground when on her Indian Scout! .
Vonnie was married to Sonny's brother Joe for a long while, and while they were together they were the best trickriding team that  anyone had ever seen - they could change bikes up on the Wall! Unfortunately, due to their “artistic” temperments, the Dromes they worked were not the most peaceful places on earth!....
...They had their own Lion Dromes (as did  Sonny's dad), and bred their own lions, as well as working Dromes for other  shows...
...Everyone loved Vonnie, although she was not known for having the most peaceful nature...you had to be tough...and Vonnie was!   She WAS known for  always carrying a wrench in her back pocket...and performing "attitude  adjustments " regularly

When our motorcycles are entering museeums...
A shortened frame 101 Scout. Note the reinforcement on the rear part of frame.

Beautiful Indian Scout owned by Doug Couch. Seem a 101 tank in a 1927 scout frame.

Burt Munroes's tribute by new Indian brand.

The new thunder stroke 111 engine developed by Polaris is so far after the death of true Indian brand, the nicest one. The prior attempts showed no interests. The shape of this new one is taking a lot of the latest CHIEF engine. Per haps if the real Indian factory hard continue existing, the engine had looked as it brought by Polaris today.
To promote their new engine and new Indians Motorcycles, Polaris had the brilliant idea toRE-BUILD the streamliner of  Burt Munroe in the 60,s.

Burt Munroe  really had the life he dreamed, going to do his land speed record far away from his home country, setting his world records, in the a time (1967) where his early junk indian Scout, was an obsolete item on the salt of Bonnevile. The old man did it more than times, and wasn't able to make the difference between a real woman and a fake one. (See movie to understand this)

Burt Munroe had a dream and made it, and beyond this, he wrote a chapter of motorcycles history.
The movie "The world fastest Indian" let the world known of his challenge. And now a brand like Polaris is re-editing the challenge. A remake of Burt's life and legacy.

We will see in future what the new Indian Motorcycle staff will do with such a legacy. Clearly they have to think good, and make things right. We all know that marketing and business is essential to any brands. The thing is to do the things right. The cost can be fatal like it happens to priors manufacturers.
Although to say the truth. This this day, Polaris has a NO MISTAKES record. The Thunder Stroke is a nice shaped engine, the logo is the original one, the promotion is clean.

Future will talk, today we wish good luck to the brand.
