During our last trip in Japan, we visited the legend: The MOON OF JAPAN shop, from Mooneyes.
A marvel of place, a Disneyland for big boys. I couldn't speak directly in the eyes of Steven, because my eyes where going all around the shop to see everything. Just like the moon eyes??
The first room is for T-shirts and novelties. A million of articles, stickers, mugs, plates....All you can imagine. Branded Mooneyes or Rat fink or other brands.
Go upstairs, you are in the auto parts department. Cars, lowriders magazines from all around the world are waiting you. Metal flakes paint from the source, Air ride system, cover hubs...All the car and bike catalog is there.
Going down the stairs, pass thru the shop, you are in the motorcycles garage. Helmets, rims, ect.
Pass this door you are outside: Far away you can see two WW Combi on the parking. But on your left, the Mooneyes Automotive, a garage who looks like in a movie. Everything is calculated not to break the atmosphere. Period correct in sum.
Turn around the corner and you can enter the Moon Café, a creation from Shige -San. The saver of Mooneyes in general.
The café features excellent Hamburgers, Milk Shakes, served by two Japanese beauties.
I never saw a place like this. Mooneyes Japan is the temple of all our souvenirs.
If you go to Japan, Mooneyes is located at Yokohama, 30 minutes train from Tokyo.
